Jjimjilbang overnight guide
Landing at midnight? Where to sleep in a Seoul jjimjilbang

The main places a foreign visitor can stay all night in Seoul right now are Sparex Dongmyo, Sparex Goodmorning City (Dongdaemun), Gangbyeon Spa Land, and Spa at Home in Incheon Airport T1 and T2. Night rates start at 8 p.m. at most of them (Samo Sporex is 10 p.m., one source only). Surcharges kick in after 12, 15 or 24 hours depending on the place. Re-entry after you step out is mostly not allowed, and after 10 p.m. even adults may be asked for ID, so bring your passport. Every price below is as of 2026-11-04.
How we checked
On 2026-11-04 we opened and read the venues' official pages, price tables on blogs, and sales channel listings. We read official pages for Gangbyeon Spa Land, Spa at Home T2, and Blue Ocean Wellness Spa. The rest come from recent blog posts or sales channels, so the table marks them separately. Anything we could not confirm is written as “not confirmed”, and anything with only one independent source is marked “one source only”.
Prices change often. Every amount here is as of 2026-11-04, and we found no venue that had announced separate winter 2026 to 2027 prices. Check the venue's notice once more before you go.
We make a game called Korean Spa Tycoon (찜질방 키우기). The game screens in this guide only show how a jjimjilbang is laid out. They are not photos of real venues, and since the game has no night scenes, all of them are daytime screens.
Five places in Seoul and three near the airport, side by side
Prices below are for adults and as of 2026-11-04. “Night starts” is the time the night rate begins. At a place with an 8 p.m. boundary, walking in at 7:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. changes your price.
Spa at Home has a shower-only ticket (12,000 won at T1, 11,000 won at T2, 2 hours), and the sleep prices in the table are by the hour block. One blog points out that 12 daytime hours at 28,000 won cost the same as 6 night hours at 28,000 won, so arriving before 8 p.m. pays off (one blog only). Daytime hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at T1 and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at T2.
T1 is on basement level 1 inside the airport, next to the airport railroad passage. T2 is also on basement level 1 and opened in January 2025. One post says Blue Ocean on Yeongjong Island is about 10 minutes from the airport by car, but an official distance is not confirmed.

Arriving at midnight: where to go
Here is how it splits by situation. We only wrote what we read in price tables and reviews, and we left out transport times because we could not check them ourselves.
- You want to sleep right at the airport: Spa at Home T1 or T2. Both are open 24 hours, take no reservations, and run first come, first served. A T1 review says it was quiet at 9 p.m., started filling after 11 p.m. and was busiest around 1 to 2 a.m. (one source only). It holds about 150 people, and one account says you wait when it is full. If you land at midnight, assume there may be no spot and pick a second option.
- The airport one is full: Blue Ocean Wellness Spa on Yeongjong Island is the nearest jjimjilbang-style place to the airport. It closes at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and reopens at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, so it is not usable on a Tuesday night.
- You made it into central Seoul: Goodmorning City in Dongdaemun connects directly to Exits 13 and 14 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, and Dongmyo is 40 m from Exit 6 of Dongmyo Station. Both are open 24 hours and give you 24 hours from the time you pay. Pay at midnight and the base ticket runs to midnight the next day.
- East or west Seoul: Gangbyeon Spa Land is near Gangbyeon Station, and Venugia Aqua24 is a 15-minute walk from Exit 8 of Gayang Station. Venugia is closed on the third Wednesday of every month.
- Solo women: the official page says Spa at Home T2 has mixed, women-only and men-only sleeping rooms, and the locker key controls which one you can enter. Goodmorning City also has a women-only sleeping room, but one review says it was noisy because a 24-hour food court sits next to it (one source only).

Overnight rules: surcharges, re-entry, minors, passports
The price tables are most often misread at “no time limit”. Some English guides say there is no time limit once you pay entry, but every price table we read this time added a surcharge after 12, 15 or 24 hours. Many places also sell a sauna-only ticket separately from the jjimjilbang ticket, and to stay overnight you need to pay the jjimjilbang price.
- Surcharges: they differ by place, as in the table. If you enter Gangbyeon Spa Land at midnight, 1,000 won per hour starts 15 hours later, at 3 p.m.
- Re-entry: at Gangbyeon Spa Land, Blue Ocean and Sparex Dongmyo you cannot leave and come back in. Dongmyo has a 20,000 won option to leave your bags and go out, once within 24 hours of payment.
- Minors: a 24-hour jjimjilbang must keep unaccompanied minors out during a window set by each city or province, within 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The exact Seoul hours from the official notice are not confirmed. Gangbyeon Spa Land posts 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. A minor means under 19, whatever the nationality.
- Passport: some places check ID of adults too late at night. The official notice at Gangbyeon Spa Land says that even if you are not a minor, you cannot enter if your ID is not confirmed. Foreigners should not leave the passport at the hotel.
- Alcohol: Gangbyeon Spa Land bans very drunk guests, Blue Ocean limits drinking guests, and Dongmyo refuses excessive drinkers. If you go after a drinking session when the last train is gone, you can be stopped at the door.
- Tattoos: no law says a venue must refuse you for a tattoo, so each venue decides. Three independent sources said the same. If you have a large tattoo, ask at the counter before you pay. We found no case from 2024 to 2026 of a jjimjilbang turning a guest away over a tattoo.
- Luggage: Spa at Home stores one suitcase for free, and you cannot open it inside. At Dongmyo, large bags that do not fit a locker go to the counter for a receipt, and a lost key costs 20,000 won. Valuables can be left at the counter, but the venue states it is not responsible for loss or theft. The exact bag rules at Dongmyo and Goodmorning City differ between guides, so confirm on site.
- Cleaning hours: one review says Dongmyo's men's bath is closed for cleaning from midnight to 2 a.m. and the women's bath from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. (one source only).

Still in English guides, but closed
Some English guides still recommend places that have already closed. Dragon Hill Spa in Yongsan went on hiatus in 2021 because of COVID and never reopened. An official closure notice is not confirmed, but three sources say the same. One piece cites a report that Siloam Sauna near Seoul Station closed around December 2020, and we could not read the original report. One source says Itaewon Land was torn down at the end of 2019 (one source only).
One English guide lists Siloam as being in Gwangjin-gu and open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. But Siloam was a 24-hour venue at 49 Jungnim-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, and the place in Gwangjin-gu is Gangbyeon Spa Land. The venue facts themselves are wrong, so following that page would leave you standing at the wrong place.
Some places close at night
A few places often recommended for beginners cannot be used overnight. Aquafield is 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Goyang branch, and its branches are in Hanam, Goyang and Anseong, not in Seoul itself. The jjimjilbang at Songpa's Park Habio Water Kingdom is 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Shinsegae Centum City Spa Land in Busan is 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
One source says the Yeongdeungpo Ssalala jjimjilbang opens only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 7:00 to 21:30, from 2026-08-24 (one source only), and winter hours are not confirmed. Cimer at Paradise City near Incheon Airport is listed as 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., so it is not a night option (one source only). One English guide calls Aquafield “tattoo friendly in any area”, but it closes at night anyway.

What we could not confirm

Can I enter a Seoul jjimjilbang with a tattoo?
No law says a venue must refuse you for a tattoo, so each venue decides. Three independent sources agreed. If you have a large tattoo, ask at the counter before you pay. We found no recent case of a jjimjilbang turning a guest away over a tattoo.
Can foreigners use a jjimjilbang for 24 hours?
Sparex Dongmyo has an online product for foreigners, and Spa at Home gives guidance in English, Chinese and Korean. Even at places open 24 hours, many add a surcharge after 12, 15 or 24 hours, and re-entry is mostly not allowed. After 10 p.m. you may be asked for ID, so take your passport.
How much is a jjimjilbang overnight?
A night entry at a 24-hour jjimjilbang in Seoul runs about 16,000 to 17,000 won (Sparex Dongmyo 16,000 won, Gangbyeon Spa Land 17,000 won, as of 2026-11-04). One post says Samo Sporex is 19,000 won. At Gangbyeon Spa Land, 1,000 won more per hour is added from 15 hours after entry.
